A super crowded event and a lively discussion last June 21st for the 3rd PWN’s Milan Empowering Talk.
In the beautiful Mattel Italy auditorium, we learned about Barbie’s new strategy and campaign, "Imagine the possibilities" aimed at inspiring little girls. After Mattel speech, we discussed the impact of gender stereotypes in education and entertainment: are boys and girls free to choose their own toys or do we – unconsciously - influence them? Are we ready to see a TV Ad with a boy & girl playing with a Barbie together? The debate is open, good to see so much interest in trying to overcome stereotypes: together we can make a difference for our own children and the society as a whole.
