For those who missed our workshop - Be aware to live safer

11 April 2018

Another really interesting event took place on 11th of April. An evening that dealt with safety. Not the one in cars or in work places but in the streets or even worse at home, even among our beloved ones.

Statistics say that women are victim of violence more than men and unfortunately, as said before, both inside and outside their own homes.

Gianluca Bertoncini and Maddalena Scotti - chartered trainers at LDM formazione and special guests of the event - explained how tough they are working these years to improve emotional awareness in perceiving situations of possible danger and provide some insights on basic defense techniques in critical situations.

What it is important to highlight is that, as our guests said, awareness is the first instrument that a woman can use against violence. Then comes the feeling towards the situation, belly and head can tell you more than you will never know and can give you important signs. In the end comes the reaction but this depends on our physical and technical preparation and how strong you could be facing the danger and its consequences.

Of course the evening had a deep emotional impact on the PWN’s members and lot of questions and thoughts have been shared, also episodes or unfortunate situations that occurred to someone and this because it is a hot topic that involves all of us and force people to think that it is terribly important to be aware of what is around us, to listen to our body and to all those signals that suggest us to escape from strange situations or from dangerous relationships or to react in an effective and conscious way.

Paola Poli, the second speaker of the evening, explained us how she created Women Security, an innovative start-up with a social vocation and with a mission to provide to all women the best services to prevent and reduce risky situations.

See you at the next event. Stay tuned! And.... let’s all Iive safer!
